Where Azaleas Bloom

Where Azaleas Bloom by Sherryl Woods

This is the tenth book in the Sweet Magnolia Series by Sherryl Woods. I've been a fan of these books from the beginning and this one was no exception.  In this book we meet Lynn Morrow, and her life right now is a disaster.  Going through a divorce that she didn't want and to top things off she has 24 dollars in her bank account. She has a job but it's not enough to pay the bills and buy groceries. Her ex Ed just doesn't seem to care and is living the life. He is off on a different vacation all the time and sadly his daughter is noticing how badly he is treating her mom.  Lynn doesn't know what she's going to do but she knows she has to do something and she can't keep taking hand-out dinners at her neighbors Raylene and Carter Rollins. She knows they are just trying to help but it hurts her pride.

We also meet Mitch Franklin, a contractor working on a new addition for the Rollins'. Mitch knew Lynn from way back, had even had a crush on her when he was thirteen. He wants to be her friend and help her get through the rough patch in her life, and just a friend. His wife Amy died a year ago when she was killed by a drunk driver.

After a while things between Mitch and Lynn become more than friends and its a good thing for both of them. They both need that closeness that they've been missing. Sadly Ed, Lynn's ex, doesn't want Mitch around and decides to cause problems with Lynn through the divorce.  What no one knows is that Ed is hiding something.

Come take a ride back to Serenity and see all the Magnolias. I enjoyed this book. While it wasn't my favorite one, because honestly I don't think what Ed is hiding is that big of a deal. I think he went about things the wrong way but in the end what he is worried about, to me just doesn't make sense. It was nice to hear about all the characters I've come to love and to see a peek in to their lives. Check out the series I know you won't be disappointed.
