The Geek Girl and The Scandalous Earl

THE STAKES HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER…

An avid gamer, Jamie Marten loves to escape into online adventure. But when she falls through an antique mirror into a lavish bedchamber—200 years in the past!—she realizes she may have escaped a little too far.

Micah Axelby, Earl of Dunnington, has just kicked one mistress out of his bed, and isn't looking to fill it with another—least of all this sassy, nearly naked girl who claims to be from the future. Yet something about her is undeniably enticing…

Jamie and Micah are worlds apart. He’s a peer of the realm. She can barely make rent. She’s wi-fi. He’s horse-drawn. But soon the pair will do anything to avoid a Game Over.**

I will admit, I decided to read this book because of the cover. It intrigued me, then I read the blurb or summary and I thought why not?! It sounds really good and I love the idea of a modern woman navigating the 1800's.  I couldn't imagine falling through a mirror and ending up in 1816, in a Lords home or his bedroom even!

Lord Dunnington was very perplexed when he found a woman barely dressed, in odd clothes at that, passed out in his bedroom. She is nothing like what he's used to in a woman. She curses, she's barely clothed and her hair and name are weird. Jamie thinks Micah, or Mike as she calls him, is boring and grumpy.  The housekeeper believes her that shes from 200 years in the future, even claims to know who brought her back, but refuses to help her get back to her time.

I thoroughly enjoyed 'watching' Jamie go through lady lessons. Fighting with Micah, loving on Baron and all the fun she actually ended up having despite not having a shower. This was a fun and easy read and I would think anyone looking for a bit of an escape will find it in this book. I'm looking forward to the next one in this series!! Is it September yet?! Go read it! You won't be disappointed!

  1. Based from your review, I think that I like to have that book. It sounds like a fun story. The plot maybe typical, but I still think it's good. Where can I buy it?. Can you provide me a store, I don't like online.Because it is mostly overpriced. Do you know any store who offers a fair price on this one.

  2. It was a fun story to read! Thanks for your comment. I looked and the book could be available at Barnes and Noble the actual store. I'm not sure what book stores are in your area. You can always call your local book store and ask them if they carry it. I searched also and found that it wasn't too expensive online. You can search the book and see your options.
