Here we are back in Sand Castle Bay for Emily's wedding. Everything is in chaos because of said wedding, not enough though because everyone is ready to get meddle in the last remaining single Castle sister, Samantha's love life. When she was younger she had a thing for local football player and now veteran hero Ethan Cole, and her family knows it and they've set their sites on him for her. Its only a question of how hard the two of them fight it and which one will fight the hardest.
Ethan Cole was fine with his life. He had a good job going, he was healthy, despite having lost his leg. He didn't need love to complicate his life, and he was fine without a woman at his side. Until he met Samantha, maid of honor to his best man. She made him think things and feel things he thought he had long past buried. While he knows that he's attracted to her is that really the best thing for him or her. She's just going to break his heart right? No one could love him he was just half a man, or so his ex-finance told him when she broke off their relationship. Fighting tooth and nail Ethan realizes that maybe he shouldn't be fighting it. Maybe he should be running to it.
Samantha is an actress, coming home for her sisters wedding isn't a big deal, mainly because she loves her family, partly because shes not working anyway. Her profession of choice has been stale lately. No roles, no commercials, nothing. Even the buzz her sister, Gabi had started wasn't getting her any work. She was glad for the distraction of the wedding and then the added bonus of long time crush, Ethan. Some where along the lines even though she agreed to keep things casual, she starts feeling something more. She tries to be chill and relaxed but its had when she knows Ethan is waiting for her to leave and break his heart. There is only so much pushing away she can take before it pushes her away for good.
I really loved being able to visit the Castle family again. Seeing Emily and Boone's wedding. Gabi and Wade's relationship grow even more and the love they have for each other and baby Daniella. Cora Jane and Jerry, even a little bit of a love life for dad, Sam. I loved this set of books and I'm hoping to get more stories out of this little beach town of North Carolina. Check out this set and all the others that Sherryl Woods writes, you won't be disappointed. You'll feel like you are home.
