Wyoming Bold

Wyoming Bold by Diana Palmer

Wyoming Former border agent Dalton Kirk thought his life was over-literally-when a gang of smugglers left him for dead. Defying all odds, he survives his ordeal and returns to his Wyoming ranch ready to dedicate his future to a more peaceful home on the range. Until lovely Merissa Baker knocks on his door.

Merissa is well aware of her reputation as the local eccentric-she knows things before they happen-and she's had a vision that Dalton is in danger. Even though her beliefs clash with Dalton's cowboy logic, she's determined to save the handsome rancher she's secretly loved forever.

Visions? It's all ridiculous to Dalton...until things start happening that prove Merissa right. And now Dalton is not the only target-so is Merissa. Can Dalton be bold enough to trust the unknown? Is this Wyoming man ready to love?

I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.

Dalton was the last single brother in the Kirk family. He was around his brothers and their wives. Now babies were being born, through it all though he loved it. His family was growing, his brothers were happy and he got to be there for all of it. He was lucky to be there, he almost died and he doesn't forget that. He's called Tank because of a situation in combat where he blew up a tank.  When Merissa comes to the door in a snow storm to tell him that someone is coming to kill him, and she knows this because she saw it in a vision, he's flabbergasted. A VISION?! No freaking way, its not real. Right?

Merissa knows that everyone thinks shes a witch and she'll do bad things to people if they go against her. Its all wrong though, she suffers through the exile of being different. She doesn't have friends, she doesn't go out. She lives in her home, works from home and is utterly tired of knowing things. When she sees though that Dalton Kirk is danger and someone wants him dead, she has to tell him no matter the cost.

Watching Tank and Merissa grow closer was so very sweet. Tank was gentle and never cruel to her as some of the hero's can be from this authors work. I also loved that it teaches us to look at people for who they are not what we hear about them. You never know, that person you think is scary could be more scared of you. I was sucked in to this story almost immediately. I don't think I've ever met a Diana Palmer story I've not loved. Her stories are so intertwined that I really am in awe of how she keeps it all straight. I always love seeing all the characters from other stories and getting a hint to what story we might see next. If you haven't read this series of books you should run out right now and get the first two in anticipation for this one coming out in October.
