It's In His Kiss

It's In His Kiss by Jill Shalvis

ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER

Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.

Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

Becca was running from her life, trying to find a place where she fit in. She had to start living for herself and not her brother. When she meets grumpy Sam shes instantly attracted. She doesn't want to depend on anyone though. She wants to live her life for herself.

Sam is attracted to Becca but he knows that nothing will come out of it. She's just making a pit-stop on her way to where ever she was going. Sam notices that Becca does so much for everyone and anyone she meets. She'd give someone the shirt off her back. Sexually they are on fire. Sam just doesn't believe love is a real thing. All his life his dad has said he loved Sam while using him. Now Sam is faced with knowing he cares for Becca but he can't love her because it doesn't exist, right?

Becca teaches Sam about love and Sam tries to get Becca to think of herself more. To live her life for her and when her brother comes he's there to help her stand up for herself. Becca learns that she's worthy of doing things for herself as well as for others; as long as she doesn't let herself fall to the wayside.

These books always feel like going home. I loved Becca and Sam. Meeting Olivia and Cole;  also Tanner. The way Sam, Cole, and Tanner connect and interact was awesome. I love Lucky Harbor. If you've read the others in this series you'll love these too!!
