Playing For Her Heart

Playing for Her Heart by Megan Erickson

She wanted fantasy. He's about to make it a reality...

Grant Osprey just had the hottest sex of his life. Sure, they were both in costume, and yes, it was anonymous, but he never expected her to bolt in the middle of the night without so much as a good bye, let alone exchanging numbers. Or names. All he's left with are her panties and some seriously X-rated memories...until he meets his business partner's little sister.

Only Chloe Talley isn't the bold, sexy vixen he remembers. And she wants nothing to do with him.

Cosplay is Chloe's only chance to leave her boring, socially awkward world behind. To forget that she's failing at life and can't be with anyone, let alone a single-father like Grant. But the raw hunger between them is undeniable. With him, she can be a misbehaving maid. A sexy call girl for hire. Each scene pushes Chloe beyond her strict boundaries, until Grant demands the one character she can't play.

Herself. **

I loved Austin and Marley's story in the first book of this series and I'm crazy about Megan Erickson's writing so it was a no brainer that I'd be wanting this book too.

We met Grant in the first book of the series and but we didn't know much besides the fact that he was Austin's partner in Gamer's Magazine and a single dad. Now that Austin is out of the magazine business, he's got a new partner, Ethan Tally. Every year he goes to Comic-Con but this year he meets his match, in every way. She is stunning, playful and sexy as hell. They have a steamy encounter but she's gone when he wakes up the next morning. Fast forward to a meeting with his new partner and in walks his one night stand and the worst thing is she's Ethan's sister! Ethan had already warned him off of his sister. He can't tell Ethan because he doesn't want to hurt him but now that he's found his dream girl can he really hide his feelings?

Chloe loves Comic-Con, its her favorite time of year. She makes all of her costumes, amazing ones. This year she's Sari, from the video game and movie Aric's Revenge. She's looking for a little fun, a one night stand and her eyes catch Breck, Sari's love interest in the game/movie. She feels like she can be her real self when shes dressed up for cosplay. No one would want the boring computer geek she was. She moved near her brother, because she felt like he needed her. After the death of her sister Chloe had become the middle man in her family. Their parents blamed Ethan and Ethan blamed himself.  Why would anyone want that in their lives, let alone an attractive man like Grant.

I loved Chloe from the start. When she's dressed up in a costume she takes what she wants and doesn't worry about the consequences. It's almost like she's a super hero, by day boring computer geek and by night siren. Grant enjoys both sides of her but she worries that he likes just her cosplay side. Grant has had relationships but he's never had a serious one. He might be able to have one with Chloe, but she's super skittish oh and her brother not knowing is mucking up the works as well. I seriously enjoyed this book so much. I started it and couldn't put it down. I mean I did to do ya know mundane things like cook dinner for my family and have human moments. If you have been living under a rock and haven't read any of Megan Erickson's books then you need to do so and fast. Her stories are awesome and I can't gush enough. Come back over here and let me know what you think, I'd love to know! Also leave the author love in the form of a review, they work hard they deserve the praise!
