My Strongest Weakness (90's Playlist Anthology)

My Strongest Weakness by Brighton Walsh

It was supposed to be a one-time thing. No one would find out; no one would have to know. And then once turned into twice, and twice turned into several times a week, and now pierced, punk-loving, rebellious Tia Lanning is banging Mason Brooks, the big man on campus and Mr. All American. But banging him isn’t the problem. Falling for him is. Especially when he’s content to let her remain his dirty little secret.**

Please note that while I received the whole anthology, I am only reviewing Brighton Walsh's story, My Strongest Weakness

Thanks to the author, Brighton Walsh, for the book in exchange for an honest review.

We meet Mason through Tia the first time. It seems like they have this odd relationship, they hook up and that's as far as it goes. Why would it be more? She's the alt film girl, that would rather stab herself in the eye with a poker then be at a football game. Somehow though she digs him and he digs her, if only sexually. Right? It's just sex..

Mason doesn't know why but he can't get Tia out of his mind. He has sex with her on certain nights, they have rules. No one knows and they both want it that way. His friends wouldn't get it and neither would hers. Something's changing thought and he's not so sure how to handle it. It used to be just sex and now it's evolving. His life is in the spotlight; big football star and V.P. of his fraternity. People knowing that he's with the Alt girl could mess with all of that. Right?

This was short and to the point. I enjoyed Mason a bit more than I did Tia. I wanted to shake her a little bit, she insisted on the rules just as much as Mason did but she would get pissed when he followed them. They're in college so not as mature as they will be someday, but no talking would happen about what either would be feeling. In the end I really enjoyed it and it made me feel like I was back in the nineties with some flannel and grunge rock. Check it out! Leave the author love in the form of a review!
