Franco

Franco by Kim Holden

Franco Genovese is the drummer for world renowned American rock band, Rook. He’s got it all. A killer smile. Tattoos. Talent. Razor sharp wit and humor. And a heart as big, and generous, as they come.
Life is good. Steady. Uncomplicated. Just the way he likes things.
Until one night at an unassuming L.A. bar changes everything.
Enter Gemma Hendricks.
She’s a successful young architect from Northern England with an adorable smile, sarcasm for days, and an unparalleled trusting heart.
The attraction is instant.
So is their friendship.
It’s also temporary because they’ll both be heading home, thousands of miles apart from each other, in a few days.
Or is it?
There’s something Gemma wants more than anything else.
And when Franco propositions her to provide what she’s looking for, everything changes.
Will it transform friendship into love, or will it be their ruin?
Note from the author: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is recommended for mature audiences.**

Alright so last year I read Bright Side and Gus. I cried and laughed but mostly I cried. All of the characters from the books were awesome. I love the authors writing style. She seriously kicks ass. Anyway I'm in her group on FB an I see she's writing Franco's story.. Cue the fangirl moment because hello we get more from Bright Side's world! I couldn't wait, I mean duh I had to but it came out right after Christmas so it was like a belated Christmas gift to us from Kim Holden * I told you she was kick ass*  Ok so lets get this review done....

Franco is a talented tattooed dude in a band with our favorite guy Gus. He is a drummer and I know I expected him to be kind of hard. You know half the time when people see tatted people they assume they're not smart or they're not kind. Franco is all of that and so much more. He's chill and go with the flow and he loves his friends and family. He's a legit good dude. Out one night with his band mates and he sees this woman, he sees her on a horrible date. He goes over to her when she goes to the bathroom and finds her leaving to get away from the worst blind date in history.  She's British and he is instantly attracted and so is she. They're down for just a few days of fun and hopefully a friendship that last longer.  Friendship is all they have anyway. He's leaving L.A and she's going back to England.

Sometimes even when you aren't looking your life happens. When your content with just a little bit you actually realize you want so much more.  I loved that Franco was so chill and even when he wanted something he wasn't over the top. Sure he did what he had to do and he made sure that Gemma knew where he stood. Boys are weird though, he did accept that she wanted just a friendship. Until he couldn't stand it anymore to be away from her.

This story is beautiful, fun and sexy. I loved seeing Franco and Gemma grow and flirt. Seeing Gus and Scout and all of the other characters soothed me. Knowing how they celebrate Bright Side and remember her always.  Go read these books.. Start with Bright Side, then on to Gus and finish with the feel good story of Franco. Please when you're done leave the author love in the form of a review. It shows you care.

Oh yeah and GOD BLESS THE WANKERS!
