Never Been Good by Christi Barth
Flynn Maguire isn’t really a bad guy. Sure, he worked for the mob, but he ran a legitimate business—on paper anyway—and it paid enough to keep his brother out of the lifestyle. Until they turned on him. Now he’s stuck in Witness Protection, tending bar in Nowheresville Oregon… and pissed the life he knew is gone. The only bright spot? Fantasizing about his quiet, secretive, beautiful coworker.
Sierra Williams is a woman on the run. All she wants now is to settle into small-town life… and ignore the brooding, sexy bartender who can’t seem to take his eyes off her. Flynn’s bad-boy vibe pushes all her buttons, but Sierra fell for the wrong man once already. She can’t afford to let her guard down again. Except Flynn’s tough exterior is slowly melting away to reveal the sweet man beneath and their attraction is too strong to resist.
Sierra and Flynn are falling fast, but they’re both keeping so many secrets. The truth could ruin everything… unless a girl who’s a little bad is perfect for a guy who’s never really been good.**
Thank you to the author for the book in exchange for an honest review.
I will admit it took me a minute to get sucked into this book and then I got sick and couldn't sit still long enough to write out this review. Once I got to sit and read I loved the book! Flynn is a bad boy ex-mobster and isn't dealing well with this new town hes in while waiting for the time to testify against the mob boss from Chicago.
While Flynn's brother Rafe had found love Flynn didn't want to find love, he didn't want to be apart of the community. He missed Chicago. The only thing that he was happy about was a girl at the bar. He was all wrong for her though, she was everything light and good but he wasn't.
Sierra might be good, she loved her art and she loved the community she had finally landed in. Flynn is so hot but she can't risk anything. She has her own secrets.
While Flynn's secrets are right there for you to see and know about Sierra's aren't so I'm not going to spoil anything for you about them.
I can't wait to read the next book so I can see how the brothers stories will end up! I want to know how the testifying goes and how their new lives are going to go. Check out these books I did not read the first one and I did not feel like I missed anything. When you do check them out leave a review! It shows the author you care!
