Trade Me

Trade Me by Courtney Milan

Tina Chen just wants a degree and a job, so her parents never have to worry about making rent again. She has no time for Blake Reynolds, the sexy billionaire who stands to inherit Cyclone Technology. But when he makes an off-hand comment about what it means to be poor, she loses her cool and tells him he couldn’t last a month living her life.

To her shock, Blake offers her a trade: She’ll get his income, his house, his car. In exchange, he’ll work her hours and send money home to her family. No expectations; no future obligations.

But before long, they’re trading not just lives, but secrets, kisses, and heated nights together. No expectations might break Tina’s heart...but Blake’s secrets could ruin her life.**

Once again the bff strikes. She was telling me about this book where a girl was strong and didn't take anyones shit. I love strong girls. There is something that is empowering about it.

Tina is a college student, she struggles with money just like ever college student but I think her struggle is worse, she lives a meager life. What ever extra she has she sends to her family for her sisters medicine, that her mother doesn't thinks she needs. Tina's mom is an activist, she fights for immigrants. Enter Blake, son of a millionaire tech mogul, his life is cake. One day in class Blake says something about public assistance that rubs Tina the wrong way and she lets him have it.

Blake knows who Tina is, he's know for forever. His views are skewed since he does have everything he's ever wanted. He has a problem though. One that he doesn't feel like he can share with anyone. His dad is pressuring him to come back to the business and help him. He doesn't need the degree, his father says. Its all for shit, he already has a career. He's drowning, his problem and the stress, he'd gladly trade with Tina. So he figures out how to trade and does it.

This was an awesome book. Tina didn't let anyone walk over her. She fought for everything! Even after trading lives with Blake, she struggles to understand what its like and how to deny the feelings she feels for him. Blake is trying anything and everything to get her to acknowledge her feelings for him. I really enjoyed Tina and Blakes dad. Blake I didn't hate but he wasn't my favorite character. All in all this book was very enjoyable and I will be reading the next one in the series!
