Kiss Me Kate

Kiss me Kate by Katy Regnery

Kate English, cousin to the beguiling English Brothers, has relocated to Philadelphia and now works with her cousins at English & Company. The problem with moving to Philly? It was where Kate met her first love, Etienne Rousseau. Since the move, Kate can’t seem shake the painful memories of a romance that broke her heart.

Etienne Rousseau, neighbor and arch-enemy of the English family, is recently single and has every intention of enjoying his newly-minted bachelor-status. That is…until his brother inks a deal with English & Company, forcing Etienne to work with his one-time lover, Kate English. Though he wants to hate the girl who once destroyed his life, he can't deny the fierce attraction or hide the deep tenderness he still feels for Kate.

With vibrant flashbacks of their passionate, teenage love affair making it impossible to ignore their unresolved history, Kate and Etienne will commit to unraveling the secrets of their heartbreaking past to make way for a breathtaking future.**

Thank you to the author for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

It's another hit from Katy Regnery.  I went in to this book thinking that there was no way I could find anything about Etienne I would like or even love. I was wrong and I am woman enough to admit it.

The Rousseau's are the enemies of the English family. Not only is there bad blood between the brothers but Etienne hurt their cousin Kate. That is enough to say they want nothing to do with them. Kate is back in Philly and she's the attorney for the business, now Barrett has gotten in to bed (business wise) with the Rousseau's. All of the brothers are pissed at Barrett, they know what Etienne did to Kate, they actually know more than she does. Kate has always been curious about what happened, she even friended his sister on Face Book so she could catch slivers of information about him. The last time Etienne and Kate were together they had agreed to write to each other. Nothing ever came of it though. Kate decides to put on her big girl panties and tell the brothers to do the deal, it's just business and she could handle it. She hopes.

Etienne is finally back to work after he was in a car accident. On the first day back his brother tells him that they have a new deal they are working on. When he finds out its with the English brothers and Kate is their new counsel, he's pissed and also intrigued. He's never forgotten his time with Kate and he's always wondered why she never contacted him like she said she would.

Gah, I mean seriously these two just go together. They fit.  I can't even with how proud I was of them both. They could of beat around the bush and not try to find out what happened all those years ago but they dove in and figured out went on behind their backs.  So much time was lost for them and when they get to the root of the issues they're faced with it is soon determined that no matter what time has passed they want to be together. It was very lovely to see their past. Showing how their love stood the time. I am so sad that this is the end of the English brothers but I am so so glad to know that I get more from Katy with more series. I love the way this author writes. She can weave a tale and I for one will be lined up waiting for the next bit she weaves. Check out all of her work, its awesome and leave her love in the form of a review!
