My Review

Another hit from Katy Regnery. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down! 

Brooks was roped into a bachelor auction by his sister Jess. He doesn't date, he's worried that he'd leave behind anyone he loved like his dad did. His dad may not of done the leaving on purpose but he left a hole in his family. Brooks has been not only the older brother but the substitute dad when needed for concerts, parties and what ever is needed. Not wanting to be stuck with whomever places the highest bid, he decides to ask his friend and mechanic Skye to bid for him. She's a great sailor and a good friend. How could that be a bad combination? Until he sees her in her Cinderella moment. She's gorgeous and makes him want things he's avoided his whole life. 

Skye has been enamored with Brooks since she was eight. He doesn't even see her as a girl! He said as much when he talked her in to bidding for him in the auction. Going to getting all dolled up and winning with the highest bid was worth it all. Being able to prove to more than Brooks that she is a capable sailor and can skipper a boat was all she wanted. Being in close quarters with Brooks makes it very difficult to hide the way she feels and the way she reacts to him. Realizing that her feelings are more than just a crush she decides that the boat is like Las Vegas, what happens on it stays on it. 

I love a friends to more story, in fact its one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Skye is a capable woman. She can do anything she wants for herself and she's willing to have the love of the man she's infatuated with even if its just for a week. Brooks has closed himself off to every kind of romantic entanglement he gets near, but something about Skye makes him want more and he's terrified to take it. Skye and Brooks are hot and steamy together. Check this book out, you will enjoy it so much! When you do, leave the author love in the form of a review!!
