The Fill In Boyfriend by Kasie West
The problem is that days after prom, it's not the real Bradley she's thinking about, but the stand-in. The one whose name she doesn't even know. But tracking him down doesn't mean they're done faking a relationship. Gia owes him a favor and his sister intends to see that he collects: his ex-girlfriend's graduation party — three hours, zero commitment, a few white lies.
Just when Gia begins to wonder if she could turn her fake boyfriend into a real one, Bradley comes waltzing back into her life, exposing her lie, and threatening to destroy her friendships and her new-found relationship.**
Gia's worst nightmare has come to fruition, the guy that her friends didn't even exist broke up with her in the parking lot at prom. Now they're really going to think she's a liar. She sees a guy in a car, he's decent looking and she begs him to be her fill in Bradley. The boy agrees and she pretty much gets away with the lie. The problem is that she starts to like fill-in-Bradley, more than just a friend. She does get to know his name but I'm not going to spoil that for you. Slowly but surely Gia realizes that she's got to tell her friends before they find out and are angry about it.
I have read a few of Kasie West's books and I can say at this point I'd read her grocery list. I loved FIB and I tolerated Gia. She is like most teenagers very self absorbed and is heavy on social media. I watch my younger cousins do it all the time and it drives me batty. It was sad that she had to be practically slapped in the face for her to notice how sucked in to what other people thought. She really couldn't even get ready for a date without her friends coming over to help chose what to wear. I am not an old woman I swear! I'm not even mid-thirties, I just thought that Gia was too much. I loved FIB and his sister. I just wish I could of loved Gia a little more. In the end I loved the outcome. If you love Kasie West you'll enjoy this one too. Leave the author love in the form of a review.
