Make Me, Take Me by Amanda Usen
He's every fantasy she's ever had... Betsy Mouton knows that easy doesn't last forever. She's working her butt off to launch the Last Call CafĂ© so her family can leave the New Orleans bar business—and its heartaches—behind forever. That is, until the hottest one-night-stand of her life shows up next door, twice as uncompromising and two million times hotter, offering to buy the bar and send the Moutons to Easy Street. Hotelier Quinton James has never forgotten the unbelievably hot night he and Betsy shared. Never forgotten how beautifully she submitted to him, or how he found the only peace he's ever known in her arms. Now that Betsy is the only thing standing in the way of his new hotel, she's the one in control. But there's more at stake than her cafe or laying their past to rest—Quin wants a future. With her. All he has to do is convince her...one sensual command at a time.**
This is the third in a series, and I was a fail, I didn't eve know it was out. I met the author this month at Lori Foster's Reader Author event and when I was looking at her page on goodreads I noticed that a couple of new books were out so of course I had to get them. P.S. Amanda Usen is super cute and so so nice!! On to the review.
I remember Betsy from the other books, she was around but not a ton. She was very much a quiet person because she didn't share much from herself, now I know why. Betsy doesn't like to ask for help. Her mom worked a lot and was a single parent so Betsy had to be grown up before she should have been. Betsy wants to make sure she doesn't fall for the same thing her mom fell for over and over. A guy in a suit is just going to leave. She wants to make sure that they're set and so she's got to turn the family bar in to a restaurant. Then her mom and sister won't have to break themselves working night after night. Quin may be her downfall though. He makes her feel things, its dangerous.
Quin is used to getting what he wants and he wants Betsy. She consents to one night and leaves before he wakes. He didn't get her out of his system. Now its two years later and he's back in New Orleans to watch over the final renovations to the hotel he bought. Guess what's right next door to the hotel? That's right, the bar that Betsy's family owns. The one where they met. He doesn't want a relationship but he does want more time and he'll do what he can to get it. One thing about being in New Orleans, is he is remembering things that he shouldn't. After he spent time with Betsy he wanted more, it scared him but he wanted more with her.
I really enjoyed watching Betsy be a strong woman. She took what she wanted from Quin, she made rules for their involvement. Quin was quiet, he has his own issues. Betsy's sister was a bratty girl. She had issues with Betsy the whole book and she's an adult. Instead of talking it out she would disappear for days. I loved seeing the other girls from the first books and their boys! Grab this one, you'll want to see how they do things in the south! Leave the author love in the form of a review.
