The Boy Most Likely To by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Tim Mason was The Boy Most Likely To find the liquor cabinet blindfolded, need a liver transplant, and drive his car into a house
Alice Garrett was The Girl Most Likely To . . . well, not date her little brother’s baggage-burdened best friend, for starters.
For Tim, it wouldn’t be smart to fall for Alice. For Alice, nothing could be scarier than falling for Tim. But Tim has never been known for making the smart choice, and Alice is starting to wonder if the “smart” choice is always the right one. When these two crash into each other, they crash hard.
Then the unexpected consequences of Tim’s wild days come back to shock him. He finds himself in a situation that isn’t all it appears to be, that he never could have predicted . . . but maybe should have.
And Alice is caught in the middle.**
I've been waiting fora sequel to My Life Next Door ever since I read it. I loved the Garrett family and Tim too. Even though he was a slacker, there was just something about Tim.
Tim is a mess, he's an alcoholic but he's in AA and he's trying to be better. He may not be in school anymore but he's going to fix it. Living under his dads thumb though won't work so he's moving out, at 17. He's going to live in the garage apartment at the Garretts. Then just when he thought things couldn't get worse, enter Hazel a girl from his past. She represents a life he never thought he'd face.
Alice has the world on her shoulders. Her family is going in all directions. Her dad is still in the hospital, bills are rolling in and her brothers and sisters are going back to school. She feels like she has to help her mom do things, shes the oldest girl and her brother has moved out and started the police academy. Even with all that going on, Alice can't help but see that Tim is changing and she likes him. Maybe its the wrong time but you can't fight attraction. Will Hazel and all of what she brings mess things up for them??
I enjoyed this story. Tim was his normal self depreciating self and making a joke about everything. Alice is still young but acts like she's a 40 year old mom, Tim helps her be young. It was nice seeing Jace and Sam. All of the Garrett siblings we present and just as awesome as they were the first time around. I know that I was vague in this review but I really don't want to share too much from the book because it may ruin it for you. Lets just say this, Tim has to grow up and his dad is a dick and Nan is still off. Sam's mom is in this one again and she's still as heinous as before. If you've not read My Life Next Door, do that first.. Things will not make sense if you don't! Go and read this and let me know what you think!
