Release: June 5, 2016

From New York Times bestseller Katy Regnery comes another timeless tale of love everlasting! Loosely inspired by the legend of Camelot, Dark Sexy Knight tells the story of dinner theater knight Colt Lane, who meets down-on- her-luck Verity Gwynn on the worst day of her life.

Evicted from their home, Verity and her special-needs brother, Ryan, must find jobs or risk being
separated. Colt, who is the furthest-possible thing from a white knight in real life, comes to their unlikely rescue, quickly cementing his place in Verity’s heart.

Colt has dark, deeply buried secrets that keep his smile hidden and his eyes down, which has kept people away . . . until he meets Verity, who seems immune to his gruff manners and taciturn ways. The more time Colt spends with her, the more he longs for her sweetness in his life and yearns to be the knight in shining armor she so desperately needs. Certain he will lose her if she learns the truth about his past, he must decide if he can trust her with his yesterday in order to build a beautiful tomorrow.

**Contemporary Romance. Due to profanity, mild violence and very strong sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.**

The Vixen and the Vet is included in the charity anthology Hometown Heroes: Hotter Ever After, and Katy's novella "Frosted" appeared in the Jan '15 anthology, Snowy Days Steamy Nights. Additionally, Katy's short story, "The Long Way Home" appeared in the first RWA anthology (Feb '15), Premiere.

Katy lives in the relative wilds of northern Fairfield County, Connecticut, where her writing room looks out at the woods, and her husband, two young children, and two dogs create just enough cheerful chaos to remind her that the very best love stories begin at home.

My Review

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a honest review.

It's another hit from Katy. She wrote such lovable characters!! Well and they're hot too. Verity is down on her luck. She's trying to find a job for herself and her brother. Her brother, Ryan, is special needs but he's a hard worker and a sweet guy. Verity has been taking care of him since her parents died last year. Finding a job for both of them is going to make sure that Ryan is with her and taken care of. When she sees the large man in a costume walk towards her she never realized how much he would change her life.

Colt's life has been one way for as long as he can remember. He went to work, came home and on his days off he often spent some time with his cousin Melody. He lives in the house his aunt left him and he in general keeps to himself. When he sees a girl and large man standing in the door of the job fair he can't help but stop and talk to her. His life is forever changed.

This was such a good book I literally read it in a few hours. It was lovely and light on angst. I was expecting a little more angst from previous books in the modern fairy tales from Katy. While it was softer I loved it. Colt had lived with so much in his life and so had Verity that it was nice that they didn't have to fight for it left and right. Don't get me wrong there is angst, its not all rainbows and sunshine but it was so so worth it all in the end. I loved Joe, Ryan and Melody, they made the story sweet. It's a fantabulous book and I think all of you all will LOVE it. Leave love in the form of a review!! Its your way to thank the author and let others know what you're reading!!
