Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty—when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II.
With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas with their special brand of deadly decadence, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt. But aided by his magical sword, his neighbor’s rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and his vampire attorney, Atticus is ready to sweep the town and show the witchy women they picked the wrong Druid to hex.
I have to give Kevin credit. He has developed a series that is the antithesis of typical fantasy. Some say that he is sexist in the way he wrote Atticus. I have to disagree. Both male and female writers write their characters with the traits that their targeted audience reads.
This book continues right where the first left off. Atticus is trying to figure out a way to heal the land and hunt the demons that escaped from hell.
He hoped that he could avoid anymore drama. Then a hex hit him. One with the force of the seven sons. The only thing saving him was the necklace he wore.
We are taken on a trip, where witches, vampires, sirens, and fey all come out to play again. Also, there is a new plot developing that will lead us into the third book.
I do not know how long this series will be. I am just glad that I get to be around to enjoy it.
Until Next Time,
Jay
