Wyoming Rugged by Diana Palmer
Billionaire oilman Blair Coleman has always taken care of his business. After having been used and cast aside by a woman he thought he loved, his personal life is far from his first priority. He knows only one has ever truly cared for him—but the irresistible blonde beauty is the daughter of his best friend.
Niki Ashton has seen her father's friend wounded and she's seen him fight. Blair is the strongest—and most stubborn—man she's ever known. That very heart and passion makes him the man of her dreams, but whenever they've been in danger of getting close, Blair has always pushed her away.
It takes a possible tragedy to strip away all of Blair's misgivings. Now it's all or nothing: marriage, baby, family, forever. But will the choice be too much for Niki…or too late?**
Thanks to Harlequin and NetGalley for the book in exchange for a honest review.
What can I say, I'm a sucker for Diana Palmer books. She was one of the first romance authors I ever read and I'll read what she writes until she doesn't anymore. Which, cause I'm a greedy h00r, I hope is a super long time from now! Aannnnnyyy who, lets get to this story.
Niki has always had a crush on her fathers friend Blair. There is just something about him that appeals to her on a different level. She doesn't really date the boys at school, mainly because she had to deal with one jerk that didn't take no for an answer. It leaves her feeling like if thats the way guys are then she's good not having one around. Except for Blair, she's infatuated with him and while she would love if he reciprocated her feelings, she knows that it's very unlikely.
Blair is eighteen years older than Niki, he wants her but he can't get past the fact that shes so much younger than him. Sometimes he can't resist and then he feels like he's betrayed everything.
Diana Palmer books have a formula, there is no other way to put it. Young girl loves older guy, he fights it with everything he has and then BAM they are together. It may be boring to some but to me its comforting and I love every minute of it. These two were a bit much sometimes but in the end their love won out. Check it out and leave the author love in the form of a review!
