Kiss Me at Midnight

Kiss Me at Midnight by Diane Alberts

Her New Year’s resolution was seduction…

Doctor Ashley Hanes has one mission and one mission only—end her annoyingly long dry streak and ring in the New Year with a bang. Literally. When her long lost and oh-so-sexy ex-best friend, Ethan Pierce, shows up as if he hadn’t broken her heart all those years ago, suddenly she doesn’t want to bring home just any man. She wants Ethan.

What should have been one night of blow-your-mind make-up sex quickly turns into another. And another. Before long, Ashley thinks maybe she and Ethan should reunite for good. If only the elusive bachelor will stop running from his tortured past and trust a future in Ashley’s arms…

My Review

The one that got away comes home for the holidays and she's not letting him get away so easily this time. Ashley never knew what happened to make Ethan stop talking to her when they were in the last six months of their senior year but he's back in town and she's going to find out.

Ethan can't stand the town he grew up in. He comes home for the holidays and gets out as fast as he can. He was tormented and bullied so much when he was a kid that he believes that the people that did it still think of him as that dorky little kid.  He was in love with Ashley from the moment he set eyes on her, but he felt betrayed by her so he stopped talking to her and left without so much as a backwards glance.

What happens when one night turns in to a weekend?? Could something more become of  it?

I really enjoyed this book. It was hot and dirty. I enjoyed watching them both come to terms with what they REALLY wanted out of life. Sometimes you learn that you can go home and people grow up. Life changes people everywhere, even in your small hometown.
