Reckless

Reckless by Kimberly Kincaid

SOMEONE’S BOUND TO GET BURNED…

Zoe Westin may be a fire captain’s daughter, but feeding the people in her hometown of Fairview is her number one priority. Running a soup kitchen is also the perfect way to prove to her dad that helping people doesn’t always mean risking life and limb. But when she's saddled with a gorgeous firefighter doing community service after yet another daredevil stunt, the kitchen has never been so hot.

Alex Donovan thrives on adrenaline, and stirring a pot of soup doesn’t exactly qualify. He’s not an expert at following the rules either, not even when they come from the stubborn, sexy daughter of the man who's not only his boss, but his mentor. Determined to show Zoe that not every risk ends in catastrophe, Alex challenges her both in the kitchen and out. One reckless step leads to another, but will falling for each other be a risk worth taking, or will it just get them burned?**

Thanks to Kensington and Netgalley for the book in exchange for a honest review.

Alex takes risks.. He likes the rush of doing things that have the potential of doing some serious harm. One time it goes too far and now he's doing community service for four weeks. It's not what he wants to be doing but he knows the only way he'll get back to the fire house is to suck it up and work at Hope House. He wasn't expecting Zoe to be there. Ever since she asked him to kiss her all those years ago he hasn't thought of her as the captain's daughter. He's hesitant to take it further then the thoughts in his mind because he doesn't want to ruin the family he has at the fire house.

Zoe has been at odds with her dad since she decided to quit working in a prestigious restaurant to come back home and run a soup kitchen. She loves everything about food, but working in a restaurant wasn't giving her a fulfilling life, something was missing. Feeding people that need it was that thing. Her family didn't understand but it was something she needed to do and she loves it. She loves knowing that everything she makes now helps someone that needed it, not just wanted it. Her new volunteer isn't who she's expecting at all. Alex is the crush from long ago but he's still as good looking and charming.

These two are like oil and water. She is very much a rule follower while he likes to takes risks. Zoe thinks that Alex just leaps without looking, when in reality he just knows the risks he takes are calculated. He's all about living in the now and wants to bring Zoe into that too. He wants her to spread her wings and live a little. I really enjoyed watching the relationship grow between these two. It's another hit for Ms. Kincaid! Check it out and leave the author love in the form of a review!!
