Stealing the Bachelor

Stealing the Bachelor by Sonya Weiss

She needs his help, but he has a price...

Having missed out on the "drop-dead-gorgeous" gene in her family, Ann Snyder decides to kick a little butt in the business world instead. That is, until her skeezy manager's "side business" has the FDA raiding her chocolate shop. Now Ann's in huge trouble...and the only person who can help her is the adorkable guy who completely humiliated her in high school.

Lawyer Eric Maxwell has been in love with Ann as long as he can remember. He figured he never stood a chance-don't the beautiful girls always prefer the bad boys to the nerds? So he makes Ann a deal. He'll provide her with free legal services...if she'll move in and help transform him from nerd-without-a-clue to bona fide bad boy.

And once the transition is complete, all he has to do is prove that he's the only bachelor for her...**

Thanks to Entangled Bliss and Netgalley for the book in exchange for a honest review.

Ann is in big trouble, her chocolate store is over run with police and federal agents. She knows that Eric Maxwell can help, hes a lawyer, but he's not her favorite person. She hasn't like Eric in a long time, he said some things when they were younger that has stuck with her. She's at his mercy but all he wants in return for representing her is a makeover. He wants to become the guy that girls like, instead of the nerd he is. Ann is starting to notice that he's not just a guy from her past or her lawyer. He's good looking, sure he's nerdy but he's genuine. As much as she wants to she can't fight the attraction, and she fights it hard.

Eric isn't excited for the position that Ann is in but he is happy that he gets to spend time with her. He knows that its going to be hard to prove Ann's innocence since her manager has disappeared. What he can't figure out is why Ann has such a distaste for him. He's always loved her since he first saw her. Helping her is hard because of his family, but he's determined to do it the right way, even if that could hurt Ann's chances.

I enjoyed watching Ann fight the attraction she's clearly had for a while. She over heard something when she was a teenager that caused her to push Eric away. She didn't get it in the right way. Now that they're adults, she's learning that sometimes the things you hear aren't the way people mean them. Eric learns that even family has limits. I don't want to give away too much but their love story is sweet and worth the read! Leave the author love in the form a review!
