Recklessly Royal

Recklessly Royal by Nichole Chase

Catherine has spent her life being the perfect princess. She’s kept her hands clean, her head down, and most importantly—men at arm’s length. After all, most men are after only one thing, and for Cathy there’s a lot more at stake than her bed; she has to worry about the fate of an entire nation. But at the rate she’s going, Cathy is afraid she’ll give the Virgin Queen a run for her money. She is tired of waiting for someone good enough to come along. She has a plan, and it all hinges on seducing the one man who seems utterly unimpressed by all things royal. The one man she is tempted by more than any other . . .

When David arrives at the royal wedding of his friend, the newly ordained Duchess Samantha Rousseau, he expected to feel uncomfortable and out of his element, but he wasn’t prepared to be targeted by Prince Alex’s gorgeous younger sister. With Cathy’s giant blue eyes, killer figure, and sense of humor, it won’t take long before he gives in. But when he finds out just how innocent the crown princess really is, will he play the part of knight in shining armor or the dashing rogue?

I couldn't wait to read this book. I loved the first one in the series and meeting Cathy in that book just made me excited to read her story.

Princess Catherine is the perfect princess. She does what she's supposed to and she helps everyone she can. She also doesn't date. I mean how can she when she's in the spotlight constantly. It would be a disaster, speculations on the relationship would be over the top. How is anyone supposed to get to know anyone when it's in the worlds view. So she's convinced she's going to be a virgin and have no love life ever. Then Samantha's friend David comes to help with the birds while Samantha and Alex are on their honeymoon. David turns things on over in Cathy's mind. He's gorgeous, nice and he makes her want to chuck it all and have a hot, and sweaty one night stand.

David is an easy going guy. He's there to go to Samantha's wedding and taking care of the birds. He didn't expect to meet and be attracted to the princess. Oh what a meeting it was. David wants her, he doesn't deny that but when he finds out that she's giving away something she can't ever get back he rethinks things and realizes he might be in for more than just a night.

I really enjoyed watching David and Cathy get to know each other. He was ever the gentleman and could ooze out the sex appeal when needed. When things went badly with her assistant he was there for her and took charge when the replacement showed her true colors. I can't imagine being in the spotlight all the time. Having to be "on" all the time. I loved the story I just wish there had been more of it. It seemed to end abruptly.  That being said, the story was awesome and the love and flirty relationship was well worth the read. Check it out! I can't wait for the next story!!
