A Modern Witch

A Modern Witch By Debora Geary

What would you do if one day you were shopping online for groceries and suddenly you were pulled in to a chat room with women you've never met and they said they were witches. I know I would be wondering what they wanted and what kind of scam it was. That's pretty close to what Lauren thinks when this happens to her. Wanting to make sure that nothing was wrong with the spell that she had worked, Nell; one of the ladies in the chat room, sends her brother Jamie to see if Lauren is in fact a witch.

Jamie blows in to her life and turns it upside down. Lauren didn't want to be different and being a witch changed everything in her life. While working on witchy things Lauren's channels are blown wide open and the only way it can be fixed is to go to California, to Jamie's family and train.

I loved the journey. Watching Lauren fight to believe that she was a witch and fight to get a her powers under control. We also get to see her best friend, Nat, find the love of her life in the person that set Lauren's life on this path.

I read this book feeling the love and warmth that this family showed Lauren and Nat. Welcoming her in to their fold was as natural as the sunrise. You should visit and see what I'm talking about.
