Joesph has gotten his way with his two older boys, now on to the baby. Mark is a rancher and knows what his dad is up to. He knows his dad wants them all married and to give him grandbabies, but he's not going to fall right in to his plans. Lately though watching his brothers, wives and their kids, makes him want that for himself. Mark does let his guard down a bit and lets his dad hire a new cook for the ranch.

Enter Emily Jackson, mom and running from her deceased husbands' parents. They hated her while her husband was alive and now they want to take her son from her. While running Emily's car breaks down and she's been living in a hotel. She sees an ad in the paper for a job at a ranch and hopes and prays that she can get it.

Mark shows such attention to Emily and her son that she can't help but fall in love with him. It was refreshing that Mark didn't fight the love he was feeling for Emily. He didn't run and he didn't close down. It was lovely to see him get the things he was missing in his life.
