Rise of the Billionaire by Ruth Cardello
Dreaming of Alethea gave Jeremy Kater the strength to survive a difficult childhood. Now that he has influential friends who owe him some big favors, he’s determined to become the kind of man Alethea would be interested in: rich and dangerous. Jeisa Borreto was hired to help Jeremy morph into that man. It’s a job she would enjoy, if it weren’t tearing her heart to pieces.
How can she help him change once she’s realized she’s fallen in love with the man he’s always been?
Hint: Sleeping with him doesn't help.**
We met Jeremy before in another book. I didn't think that'd he get his own book, but here we are! Jeremy is trying to become a better man so that his unrequited love Alethea will notice him and fall for her. Jeisa has been enlisted to help him become that man.
Jeisa enjoys this job, it's not what she was expecting to do when she came to America but working with Jeremy is more than she could hope for. Sadly she's starting to feel more for Jeremy than just as a client. All he can see is Alethea, and all she can see is him.
Jeremy was supposed to be this loveable nerd, but he irritated me. He was selfish and dismissive a lot of the time. Jeisa deserved so much more. I enjoyed that the book moved the story along and we got to see the other couples and how their lives were going!
