Saving the Sheikh

Saving the Sheikh by Ruth Cardello

Rachid bin Amir al Hantan is fighting for the sovereignty of his small country. He needs to find some powerful allies - and fast. Attending the wedding of Dominic Corisi is as much about reconnecting with old friends as it is about celebrating nuptials. The last thing he needs right now is the distraction of a woman.

Zhang Yajun is a self-made billionaire who can’t believe she accepted her friend’s dare to kiss Sheikh Rachid before the end of the wedding.

When impulsive words lead to even more impulsive actions, these two will discover that sometimes the last thing you were looking for is the one thing that can save you.**

Rachid needs help to show his country that he can be their leader. He needs help, allies.  He's hoping that he can get his old friends on his side. He wasn't expecting to meet Zhang and be distracted by her. He figures he can have the one night, and then go on with his duties.

Zhang is not one to step outside of her comfort zone but when she's dared to let loose and kiss Rachid she knows she can't back down now.

This one wasn't a favorite of mine in the series. I couldn't connect with Rachid or Zhang. They just didn't have qualities that were personable. Now that being said I did like that you got to see more of Zhang's personality. Not just the uptight, reserved one we have seen in books past.
