Summary via Goodreads.
I know that this series was intended for a trilogy and Cassandra does a great job tying up a lot of the loose ends in the story, including the hot topic of potential incest. I knew that they were not related and figured it out when Clary ran her hands through Sebastian's hair. There was something hidden in the adjectives that the author used to describe the one intimate meeting between Clary and Sebastian.
There are some good things. One is Alec and Magnus. A part of me wishes that this was not a YA book and there was a potential of a scene between them as well as Jace and Clary...Oh well, I will leave that for my imagination. The scene where Alec kissed Magnus is the square, I was fist pumping.
I was distraught with the death of Max. Such a young soul, to have to meet his death to Sebastian.
The attack of Allicante was brilliantly described. The imagery, something quite grotesque was vividly displayed in my mind's eye.
I read this book in about a day and I will get into the fourth and fifth installments very soon.
Still there are burning questions for everyone to ponder.
1. What happened to Sebastian?
2. How will Clary's training proceed now that she can be with Jace?
3. What is the consequence of Clary refusing the Queen of the Fey's request.
4. Also, the hint of, "falling in love with the wrong person" has to play a factor as the second half of this series progresses.
Until next time,
Jay
