Suddenly Royal

Suddenly Royal by Nichole Chase

Samantha Rousseau is used to getting her hands dirty. Working toward a master’s degree in wildlife biology while helping take care of her sick father, she has no time for celebrity gossip, designer clothes, or lazy vacations. So when a duchess from the small country of Lilaria invites her to dinner, Samantha assumes it’s to discuss a donation for the program. The truth will change the course of her life in ways she never dreamed.

Alex D’Lynsal is trying to keep his name clean. As crown prince of Lilaria, he’s had his share of scandalous headlines, but the latest pictures have sent him packing to America and forced him to swear off women—especially women in the public eye. That is, until he meets Samantha Rousseau. She’s stubborn, feisty, and incredibly sexy. Not to mention heiress to an estate in his country, which makes her everyone’s front-page news.

While Sam tries to navigate the new world of politics and wealth, she will also have to dodge her growing feelings for Alex. Giving in to them means more than just falling in love; it would mean accepting the weight of an entire country on her shoulders.**

Getting up every morning and going to school. Teaching, taking care of the birds and then off to her fathers is  Samantha's life. Its just what she does. One day though she can't get where she needs to go because there is a VIP on campus making doing anything on campus a hassle.  She's asked to dinner by the VIP and her nephew the crowned prince of Lilaria. Little does she know that its not a dinner about donating money to the college and program that she works on but its about her lineage and her life is about to be flipped upside down.

Alex has sworn off women but when he watches Samantha in action dressing down a waiter that won't give her the time of day, he's instantly drawn to her. He wants to know more but he also can sense the hesitance that Samantha has. Shes in a new world of demanding possibilities and he while he wants her, he wants her to choose him.

The dance they share is palatable. You can literally feel the sexual tension whenever they are within a few feet of each other. Sam has so much going on though that she feels like in the end it will be for nothing because she knows she'll fall in love with him and it'll be over because he has to marry someone royal. Why take the risk then? If she only knew that with great risk comes the best rewards! I loved Alex, he was patient, kind and he had Samantha's back. He took care of her and kept his word that the wasn't going to feed her to the wolves. This book was gooey and romantic and lovely. I couldn't stop reading it, every free minute I had I was reading it. If you're looking for something sweet and light with a small amount of sadness check this book out!! You really won't regret it.
