Blossom Street Brides: A Blossom Street Novel

Lauren Elliott has waited years for her long-term boyfriend, Todd, to propose, yet he seems more focused on his career than their relationship. When Lauren learns that her younger sister is pregnant before she herself even has an engagement ring, she feels overjoyed yet disheartened. Knowing she can’t put her future on hold, Lauren prepares to make a bold choice—one that leads her to a man she never dreamed she’d meet.

Newly married to her second husband, Max, Bethanne Scranton is blissfully in love. But with Max’s job in California and Bethanne’s in Seattle, their long-distance marriage is becoming difficult to maintain. To complicate matters, Bethanne’s cunning ex will do anything to win her back.

Lydia Goetz, too, is wonderfully happy with her husband, Brad, though lately she worries about the future of A Good Yarn. As she considers how to bring in business, she discovers that someone has beaten her to the punch. Baskets of yarn are mysteriously popping up all over town, with instructions to knit a scarf for charity and bring it into Lydia’s store. Never before has her shop received so much attention, but who hatched this brilliant plan?

As three women’s lives intersect in unexpected ways, Lydia, Lauren, and Bethanne realize that love heals every heart, and the best surprises still lay ahead.

I received this book from Net Galley for a honest review.

I have read and enjoyed every book in the Blossom Street Series, this one was no exception. First we get to meet Lauren, she works at the jewelry store on Blossom Street and is dating a guy named Todd. Last year they had the talk about where their relationship was headed and Todd assured her that it was heading for the wedding, kids, the whole shebang.  But it's been a year and things haven't changed at all. She wants that, she knows she deserves that. She breaks things off with Todd after she meets John "Rooster" Wayne.  Watching them navigate a new relationship was lovely.

We get to see Lydia again in this book.  I love being able to see characters from other books again. Lydia is dealing with the yarn store and someone is leaving baskets of yarn all around town with a simple card in it saying KNIT ME. Lydia keeps getting compliments for this but she didn't do it. She's not upset though, its bringing business in to the store. She's also dealing with her daughter Casey's nightmares. Casey is waking up some nights screaming and she won't tell what the dreams are about, we just know that they are scaring her.

Lastly we get to see Bethanne. Her marriage fell apart and she did along with it. She was down for a while but she gets herself back up and starts a party planning business and meets Max. She fell in love with Max and married him even though he lives in California. Neither can move their business without serious losses for their companies, so they live apart. It's getting to them now though. Max is jealous of her ex-husband always being around and always coming up with reasons to talk to Bethanne. Grant (the ex) has even managed to turn their daughter against her.

I loved watching all of them navigate the roads of their respective relationships. Lydia dealing with life as it comes and learning to be a mom of a teenage girl. Lauren letting go of the past to embrace the future and Bethanne going the distance to ensure that her future includes all of the people she loves. Mrs. Macomber hooked me from the first page and I couldn't put it down. Check it out for yourself!!
