Perfectly Broken by Presscott Lane
Even after years of trauma therapy, Peyton still believes she’s broken. She has little desire to date or show off her natural beauty, content simply to hang out with her best friends and run her pie shop in New Orleans. But her world turns upside-down when a handsome architect and self-confessed player shows up in her shop and thinks she’s perfect, much more than the usual hook-up. While Peyton does her best to resist his charms, believing she could never be enough for him, she can’t deny the obvious heat between them. With Reed determined to have her, Peyton must decide whether to continue to hide behind her apron and baggy clothes or take a chance and share her scars with Reed, a man with a playboy reputation and scars of his own -- a dark past he can’t possibly share with Peyton, not after learning the horrors she’s endured. But if they can find a way to trust each other, and themselves, they just might be able to heal, to save each other, to live perfectly broken together.

My Review
Peyton didn't live life. She wore clothes that hid her body and didn't go out. She worked hard at her pie business and visited her Grams at the rest home she lived in. She had good friends in Quinn and her brother Griffin, and Quinn's boyfriend, Bret. One day she meets Reed, Bret's friend and well known player. She's attracted to him but she's broken and doesn't think anyone will understand her past and be patient enough to get to know all of her.
Reed is a get in, get off and get out kind of guy. He doesn't like relationships and he does what people expect of him. When he meets Peyton, he can see that she's attractive and he wants to get to know her. She makes him work for it though. He finds that the more he's around her the more his views on relationships. Even when he finds out her past, he wants to fix it for her.
I really enjoyed getting to see Peyton grow and become more aware of herself. I loved that she worked at everything and when she finally told Reed all about her past and then took him to a counseling session with her. Reed works through a lot of demons himself. Great book and a fast read. Check it out!!
Thanks for taking part in the tour. Prescott Lane
