Derek was my one of my favorites of the guys.. Who am I kidding I loved them all. Derek is a whiz with anything electronic. He's in charge of all the computer stuff going on in this operation they have working. He knows that its all crazy but if they can find out whats going on maybe they'll clear their names and restore their honor.  Looking for Manny Garza, Derek finds that he has a sister and after spending some time with her he realizes that she's not involved with anything Manny is doing and that he has feelings for her when he really shouldn't. 

Emilie is worried about her brother Manny. Ever since he got back from the war he's changed, he's gotten progressively more unstable. He's paranoid and now she's found him burning clothes in her back yard with blood on them. Even though she has all of this going on she met a guy and she's got some steamy feelings for him. Something about Derek is off though and when he rescues her and she doesn't know how he was able to so fast she knows he's been lying. After her ex hurt her in the worst way, she has a hard time trusting anyone. 

These two meet under the worst possible circumstances, yet their mutual attraction burns brightly. Watching them navigate it is interesting. I loved Derek and Emilie. I have loved reading this whole series. I will be sad when it's over. If you haven't read it you need to start at the beginning with Hard As it Gets, Nicks story and the very start of all of our hero's story.  Don't wait run, these boys are hot and they know what to do with it!! Leave the author love in the form of a review!!
