Hard to Let Go by Laura Kaye
Beckett Murda hates to dwell on the past. But his investigation into the ambush that killed half his Special Forces team and ended his Army career gives him little choice. Just when his team learns how powerful their enemies are, hard-ass Beckett encounters the biggest complication yet—seductive, feisty Katherine Rixey.
A tough, stubborn prosecutor, Kat visits her brothers’ Hard Ink Tattoo following a bad break-up—and finds herself staring down the barrel of a stranger’s gun. Beckett is hard-bodied and sexy as hell, but he’s also the most infuriating man ever. Worse, Kat’s brothers are at war with criminals her office is investigating. When Kat joins the fight, she lands straight in Beckett’s sights—and his arms. Not to mention their enemies’ crosshairs.
Now Beckett and Kat must set aside their differences to work together, because the only thing sweeter than justice is finding love and never letting go.**
We've come to the end of the series.. Sure there are a couple of novellas to read but this is the last full length novel and I'm sad. I loved reading about these men and the women they found and loved!
Kat and Beckett didn't get off on the right foot. Actually they met with Beckett pulling a gun on Kat. Kat needs to get out of the city. Shes got a ex that just won't give up, and he put his hands on her, that was her cue to leave. She went to her brothers home and ended up in a whole mess of trouble that they had going on. Knowing that her brothers are in trouble she stays and fights with them. While she's there she verbally spars with Beckett and that leads to more. More then she ever thought she could find.
Beckett doesn't feel like he deserves love, He is here fighting with his team and he's felt more at home since he's been with them. Life is up in the air and all of his brothers in arms are falling like flies, falling in love! What the hell? Then Kat walks in, she drives him crazy. At first its literal annoyance and then it turns into lust. How long the lust last though is a small window. Who knew his iced heart could get thawed.
This was a great series and I was sad to see it go. The sheer amount of hot, tatted guys in a set of books was crazy good! One of the novellas is a male/ male book, and I normally don't read those but I just had to with Jeremy being one of the heros. All of these books are great. Lots of action and love. Check them out! Let me know what you think!!
