The Arctic Incident (Artemis Fowl #2)
This is the second installment in the mastermind Artemis'young life.
I personally, enjoyed this book better than the first. I think the reason is due to the development of the characters. One, Artemis is older, a little more mature. The LEPrecon units are more defined as we get to see a much more unified force, (a first). The antagonists are more devious. Overall, a much better novel.
Let's summarize the plot points without giving up too much :)
1. There are two plots. One, to find Artemis' father. The second, is to find out who is helping the goblins and their attacks on Haven City.
2. One plot meshes with the other. Both parties much put away their differences to reach a common goal. You never know, a friendship could develop. Maybe a spark of something more.....
3. The secondary characters develop nicely. Mulch, being my favorite is a nice addition. Who could forget Butler! He is a bad ass!
4. I feel that Artemis' nemesis is revealed in this book. How do I know...I cheated and read the future summaries!
5. What could the Russian Mafia have to do with this? If you don't know...........
READ THE BOOK!!!!
Some of the reviews get a little angry with the lack of Artemis time. Well folks there are still, like a billion books left, so one could assume that we will get or fill!
Overall, this series had made trips to work and back nicer. God love audiobooks!!!!
Finally, my new favorite word!
Until next time,
