Bad Moon Rising (Hellchaser #3) (Dark Hunter 18)

Prepare to enter a world full of richly imagined mythology — a world where dark and dangerous heroes fight to protect us.

Prepare to enter an endless battle.
Prepare to lose yourself...

Fang Kattalakis isn't just a wolf. He is the brother of two of the most powerful members of the Omegrion: the ruling council that enforces the laws of the Were-Hunters. And when war erupts among the lycanthropes, sides must be chosen. Enemies are forced into shaky alliances.

When Aimee, the woman Fang loves, is accused of betraying her people, her only hope is that Fang believes in her. Yet in order to save her, Fang must break the law of his people and the faith of his brothers. The breech could very well spell the end of both their races and change their world for ever.

The war is one and time is running out..

There is so much I want to say.

First, AWESOME BOOK!!!!!  I was taken aback with the first half of the book. I first thought that I was reading a book set many novels before. I quickly realized that I was reliving the story of Vane and Aimee through different eyes.

Where this books get amazing is when Fang was unconscious after his father left him and Vane in the swap to die. We get to see what happens.

We meet Thorne and the Hellraisers. We see that they are demon hunters. There are some hidden secrets with Thorne as well. One, I will not tell you that I fear will play a factor later in the series. To save his life from Misery (a demon), Fang sells his soul to Thorne and he is inducted into the Hellraisers. On Fang's first assignment, Thorne failed to tell him not to kill the demons he hunts. Once Fang killed a demon, the demons essence in turn merges with Fang and tries to take over.

The rest of the story we are led down a path where we know that Fang is not bad, however Were's are dying and it looks like Fang is killing them. He is blacking out and cannot account for his missing hours.

Enter Savatar. One bad ass. Gives me shivers.

String together a forbidden romance and the death of one of my favorite characters, and we are left with an amazing book.

Finally, the last scene of the book shows a Daimon walking in the daylight. This is VERY important. I just know it! Along with Nick being brought up again, this series keeps getting better.

This is a spin off of the main Dark Hunter series, but unlike the Dream Hunter series, this is amazing and well written.

Quotes

“Simi? What was it you told me once about families?
We have three kinds of family. Those we are born to, those who are born to us, and those we let into our hearts.”

“Fang laughed as he shoved Vane away 'Man, quit hugging on me. You are a perv." Vane punched him in the arm. "You're such an a**hole,"
Trace gasped. "Daddy said a bad word!"
Fang said "You tell him pup. Keep your daddy straight.”
