Sleigh Bells in the Snow

Once upon a time, Christmas was Kayla Green's favorite time of year. Now all the workaholic wants for Christmas is for it to be over—as fast as possible! So when duty calls her to snowy Vermont to close a deal with a new client, Kayla is grateful for an excuse to avoid the holidays for another year.

Jackson O'Neil left a thriving business behind to return home and salvage his family's resort—it's in his blood, and he can't let it fail. Now that he's got marketing whiz Kayla Green working with him to put Snow Crystal on the map, success is on the horizon. The fact they strike enough sparks off each other to power all the Christmas lights in Vermont is just an added bonus.

Kayla might be an expert at her job, but she's out of her depth with Jackson—he makes her crave the happy-ever-after she once dreamed of, and it's terrifying. As the snowflakes continue to swirl, will the woman who doesn't believe in the magic of Christmas finally fall under its spell?

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley.

Kayla knows just what to do to make a company shine in the media but she doesn't know how to be personal. She doesn't do relationships they are complicated and she doesn't want to get that close to someone. When she's asked to handle an account by name she's ready, but really she has no idea what she's getting into because this accounts anything but impersonal.  It involves a family in every aspect.

Jackson came home to Vermont to save his families business. His family is crazy loud and his gramps in particular doesn't think there is anything that needs changed at Snow Crystal, its fine the way it is. Jacksons father recently passed away and left a huge mess to clean up. Business has been declining and he needs to do something to get people there. He's heard that Kayla's the best and that's what he needs.

Kayla is thrown off by the family dynamic. They are involved in everything and seem to genuinely care about one another. Since her parents divorce when she was thirteen, she hasn't had a family around. Her mother and father both choose to spend their time elsewhere.  So what happens when she starts opening up and letting people in? She freaks out and wants to leave as soon as shes able.  She doesn't want to do personal, does she?? She just might.

I really loved all of  the family especially Walter. He was just the right kind of gramps; gruff but you could tell all of it came from love.  Alice was scatterbrained and sweet, as was Elizabeth. Rounding out the family is Sean, Tyler and Jess.  We don't see much of Sean but we get a glimpse of him. From what I understand this is the start of a series so I'm assuming we'll hear from the brothers of Jackson; Tyler and Sean. Reading this I felt like I was right there in the chaos and noise. It could be because I come from my own loud family and I just felt right at home in the O'Neil kitchen.
